Stephen Alfred Roberts
Drawn to Motion
I am a visual artist living and working in Cheltenham, UK. My multi-disciplinary practice encompasses drawing, painting, printmaking and animation which are all utilised to explore themes of movement and continual change. Drawing is the source of all my work where hand-drawn gestures act as traces of lived experience in time and place, a record of the interaction between my internal sensory perception and the outside world. My work is made as much through feeling as it is through observation. In my practice, the human body functions as a vessel that experiences a formless and continually changing sense of reality.
